Aya tells the viewer that she knows of her father’s secret, that she’s always known from a young age by hearing human and animals screams that he was doing something down there, but she feigned ignorance, she didn’t want him to know that she knew what he was really doing down there.Go into the Nursery and take Snowball.
As Aya heads back upstairs to bed she can hear pleas of help coming from behind the door to her Father’s lab and screams. She then reminds him that tomorrow will be the anniversary of her mother Monicka’s death, he tells her that they’ll make sure to visit her grave in the morning so she won’t be lonely. He scolds her for being in the basement but quickly comforts her, letting her know he’ll be up shortly. The game starts with Aya visiting her father down in his lab close to bedtime, she’s scared to sleep upstairs by herself in the big empty house. Alfred is a scientist and he seems to spend all of his time in the basement working on some kind of experiment.
